Loong Wellness respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website or engage with our services, including SMS communication through Simply Texting.

1. Who We Are

Our website address is: https://loongwellness.ca. Loong Wellness provides professional massage therapy, acupuncture, and wellness services in Metro Vancouver.

2. Comments

When visitors leave comments on our website, we collect the data shown in the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to assist in spam detection.

An anonymized string (hash) derived from your email address may be shared with the Gravatar service to check if you use it. The Gravatar privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture (if applicable) becomes visible to the public next to your comment.

3. Media

If you upload images to the website, please ensure they do not contain embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors may download and extract location data from images uploaded to the site.

4. Cookies

If you leave a comment, you may choose to save your name, email, and website in cookies for your convenience. These cookies last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to check if your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Upon logging in, we will set cookies to store your login and display preferences. Login cookies last for two days, and screen preference cookies last one year. Selecting “Remember Me” keeps you logged in for two weeks. Logging out removes login cookies.

If you edit or publish an article, a cookie will be saved in your browser, containing the post ID. It expires after one day.

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the password reset email.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely to automatically recognize and approve future comments.

For users who register on our website (if applicable), we store the personal information provided in their user profile. All users can view, edit, or delete their personal information anytime (except for their username). Website administrators can also access and update user information.

If you have an account or have left comments, you may request an exported file of your personal data that we hold, including all information you have provided. We use Simply Texting to communicate with clients via SMS for appointment reminders, promotions, and service updates. By providing your mobile number, you consent to receive text messages from Loong Wellness.

• You can opt-out of receiving messages at any time by replying “STOP”.

• Message frequency may vary depending on your interaction.

• Your phone number will not be shared with third parties outside of the Simply Texting platform, which is used solely to support our communication with you.
