</div>Every current rate at Loong Wellness, in one place. Most BC extended health plans cover registered massage therapy, so the number you pay at the desk is usually well below the sticker price. Work out yours below.
Plus GST. Chinese massage from $35. Acupuncture from $130. Full list below.
Most people booking massage therapy in BC have some coverage and do not know how much. Pick a treatment and your plan's coverage level to see an estimate of your portion.
An estimate only — your plan, remaining benefit and provider rules decide the final number.
Not sure what your plan covers? Call your insurer, or call us and we will check what we can before you book. Non-registered Chinese massage is never covered — it does not produce an RMT receipt.
We direct bill most major providers, which means you usually pay only the uncovered portion at the desk rather than claiming it back yourself. See how direct billing works.
Bring your insurance card or member ID to the first visit and arrive a few minutes early so we have time to set it up. If your insurer does not approve direct billing during the visit, you pay in full and submit the receipt yourself.
Taken from our live online booking menu. Prices are before GST.
Prices are before GST and reflect the live online booking menu. Availability, direct billing approval, ICBC coverage and treatment eligibility are confirmed at the time of booking. Chinese massage is delivered by non-registered practitioners and does not produce an insurance receipt.
Describe what you're dealing with and whether you have coverage. Two minutes on the phone is cheaper than booking the wrong hour.
The most common way people waste money here is booking by name instead of by need.
| Your situation | Best starting point | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Pain, injury, stiffness or limited movement | RMT massage | Assessment-based and appropriate for musculoskeletal pain, injury recovery and insurance-related care. |
| Training for something, or a niggle keeps returning | Sports massage | Standard RMT rate, but the session is organised around training load or an event date rather than general pain relief. |
| Lighter work suits you better, or you feel puffy and heavy | Lymphatic drainage | Very light, slow and directional. The gentlest treatment on the menu, and still RMT-delivered. |
| You want relaxation and do not need a receipt | Chinese massage | The lowest-cost option, from $35. Not eligible for insurance or ICBC. |
| You have an ICBC claim number | ICBC RMT or acupuncture | Bring the claim number and book the type that matches your accident-related symptoms. |
| Chronic pain, stress, sleep or TCM concerns | Initial acupuncture assessment | A better fit when symptoms involve broader pain patterns, stress, sleep or internal balance. |
| Firm pressure that a lighter massage keeps missing | Deep tissue massage | Slow, sustained pressure into deeper muscle. Same RMT rate, no surcharge for pressure. |
Booking too short is the second most common mistake. The therapist ends up rushing the area you actually came in for.
Neck and shoulders, low back, or one calf. Enough for a targeted session, not enough for assessment plus treatment across several regions.
Neck and shoulders together, or back and hips. A reasonable middle ground if you know roughly what is going on.
Time for intake, a movement check, treatment across a general region, and homecare before you leave. If unsure, book this.
For long-standing patterns involving multiple areas, or when you would rather have everything covered thoroughly than rushed across two shorter visits.
Fully enclosed private treatment rooms — not curtained bays. Registered therapists across massage, acupuncture and TCM working in the same space, so treatments can be combined in one visit instead of two.
Bring your ICBC claim number. ICBC-related care works differently from regular extended health billing — the claim covers a set number of treatments and we bill ICBC directly, so you pay only the user fee ($9 initial, $13 return for acupuncture).
Call before booking if you are unsure whether to start with RMT, acupuncture or both. Read the ICBC RMT guide or call (604) 620-6560.
Registered massage therapy is $100 for 30 minutes, $120 for 45 minutes, $140 for 60 minutes and $210 for 90 minutes, plus GST. There is no surcharge for deep tissue or sports massage — those are billed at the same RMT rate.
Chinese massage is $70 for 60 minutes or $35 for 30 minutes. It is delivered by a non-registered practitioner, so it does not produce an insurance receipt and is not eligible for ICBC. It suits relaxation and general muscle comfort rather than clinical care. See regular massage.
Lymphatic drainage with hot stone is $160 for 60 minutes. RMT facial myofascial and trigger point treatment is also $160 for 60 minutes. Both are delivered by a Registered Massage Therapist, so both produce an insurance-eligible receipt. See lymphatic drainage massage.
Most BC extended health plans include massage therapy benefits, but the amount, the annual limit and whether a doctor's note is needed all depend on your specific plan. Check your remaining benefit before booking — plans reset annually and many people find out too late that theirs is used up.
Yes, for most major providers including Pacific Blue Cross, Canada Life, Manulife, Sun Life, Green Shield, Desjardins, ICBC and WorkSafeBC. Bring your insurance card or member ID to the first visit and arrive a few minutes early. If your insurer does not approve direct billing during the visit, you pay in full and submit the receipt yourself.
Yes. Bring your ICBC claim number. You pay only the user fee — $9 for an initial acupuncture treatment and $13 for a return. Call if you are unsure whether to book RMT, acupuncture or both.
30 minutes for one focused area. 45 minutes for two related areas. 60 minutes for a general region with time for assessment and homecare — this is where most first visits land. 90 minutes when several regions need covering properly rather than rushed.
Book RMT if you need assessment, insurance eligibility, pain or injury care, or ICBC coverage. Book Chinese massage if you want relaxation and general muscle comfort at a lower price and do not need a receipt. If your benefits are used up for the year, the Chinese massage option is what most people switch to.
Every price on this page is before GST. GST is 5% in British Columbia, so a $140 sixty-minute RMT session comes to $147 before any insurance is applied.
Usually, yes. Several registered therapists work at 560 Kingsway, including evenings Monday to Thursday and both weekend days. Call (604) 620-6560 for anything urgent — online booking shows live availability.

I’ve had several massages' since last year, but Ken at Loong Wellness & Acupuncture Clinic is truly one of the best therapists I’ve encountered in British Columbia. His technique is both therapeutic and relaxing — you can tell he genuinely cares about helping his clients feel better. The center itself is clean, calming, and professionally run. I left feeling completely refreshed and tension-free. Highly recommend both Ken and Loong Wellness if you’re looking for a top-tier massage experience!Posted on Google![]()

This place is phenomenal. I’ve been struggling with long term effects of a high ankle sprain injury and they were able to not only treat it sufficiently upon my initial appointment, but also give me advance exercises to help strength the muscles causing me discomfort. Ken really offers an amazing holistic approach to treatment - sincerely grateful for his time and expertise.Showing only 4-5 star reviews
